Practice policies

Missed appointments and late cancellations represent a cost to the practice, to you, and to other patients who could have been seen in the time set aside for you. A missed appointment cannot be offered to someone on a waiting list, and repeated gaps in your treatment schedule can interfere with your recovery.
Our goal in setting out this policy clearly is to avoid misunderstanding and, wherever possible, to avoid any additional charges being passed on to you.
Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
You can cancel or rearrange by calling 07946 356 373, emailing hello@osteopathblackpool.co.uk, or through the online booking system.
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to attend a scheduled appointment without letting us know, a cancellation fee will apply. This fee reflects the cost of the appointment (£60 for new patient assessments, £50 for follow-up appointments).
We understand that sometimes cancellations cannot be avoided. Illness, family emergencies, and other genuine circumstances will always be taken into account. We will never apply a fee where the reason is valid, and we will always handle these situations with common sense and understanding.
If you are unsure whether your circumstances qualify, please just contact us and we will discuss it with you.
Where a pattern of missed appointments or late cancellations develops, we may ask you to prepay for future bookings. This is not a decision we take lightly, and we will always speak with you before doing so.

We appreciate your understanding. Our cancellation policy exists to protect your treatment continuity and to ensure that appointment slots are available to patients who need them. We thank you for your cooperation.
